The Daily Telegraph, Daily Mirror and Daily Star picked up a Best of British interview with Raymond Allen, creator of Some Mothers Do ‘Ave ‘Em. The article, which appeared in our April issue, revealed that Ronnie Barker and Norman Wisdom both turned down the chance to play Frank Spencer, while David Jason wasn’t considered enough of a star to play him.
