The recent launch of New Civil Engineer (NCE) Bridges Conference and Awards marked a huge milestone for the brand, spotlighting advancements and achievements in bridge design, construction, and maintenance. This was a hugely success inaugural event which the team should be incredibly proud of.
The conference attracted a diverse group of civil engineers, architects, project managers, contractors, and government officials, fostering a collaborative environment for exchanging ideas and experiences. There were also various keynote speakers talking about best practice, ideas and future design plans.
The awards ceremony was a highlight, nicely rounding off the day with some glitz and glamour. Outstanding projects and individuals across the industry were recognised across 18 categories. Putting together this event was no easy task, having to co-ordinate 150 guests at the Conference and 420 guests at the Awards ceremony; an amazing effort by our team.
National Highways chose the NCE Bridges Conference and Awards to officially launch a competition for architectural and civil engineering firms to design a low-carbon footbridge over the A127 in Essex as part of the £9bn Lower Thames Crossing project.
Our brands are always looking to expand their events portfolios to better serve our audiences. This is a great example of that; congratulations to the whole New Civil Engineer team!
