Earlier this month the emap inclusion and diversity team put together an Eid Charity Bake Off, with the aim of raising some much-needed funds for two incredible charities: Stand Up To Cancer and Safeena, a Muslim charity network.  

Staff from across the business in all offices were invited to craft their best baking efforts and bring them into the office ready for their colleagues to devour. A panel of judges were recruited from each division to crown the winners as emap Star Bakers! 🧁

Our first winner was Karolina with her Sticky Toffee Date Cakes

Our second winner was Jodie with her Chocolate Brownies

Our final winner was Ella with her Rhubarb, Cardamom, Rose Water & Pistachio Cake

Huge congratulations to our winners and a big thank you to everyone who took part. Who knew we had such baking talent in our ranks? 

Colleagues enjoying the baker’s creations were invited to donate money to the charities in return for the deliciousness, and it’s fair to say everyone gave generously. Totalling up the three bake sales held in Croydon, Fleet Street and Ealing, the total raised was… 

Stand Up for Cancer and Safeena both do incredible and important work. We’re proud that our teams have raised such a brilliant amount which will make a huge difference.
